Dominicans, Filipino Catholics reflect on Christ’s ‘Siete Palabras’
The Dominican Province of the Philippines, continuing its tradition of being one with Filipino Catholics in celebrating the Holy Week, led the faithful in remembering the Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ last April 6, Good Friday, at the Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City.

Fr. Aceron is now WCCI president
Fr. Orlando C. Aceron, OP, vice president for religious affairs and dean of Colegio de San Juan de Letran's College of Education, was elected president of Philippine Chapter of the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI) for school year 2012-2013.

Archbishop still serving past retirement age
Now 76, Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi is one year past the mandatory retirement age for bishops. As of Wednesday, he is still clueless as to who the Vatican would name as his successor as bishop of the Archdiocese of Caceres, a post which he has served in the last 28 years.

Dominicans publish guidelines to Mass
On the part of the Dominican Province of the Philippines (DPP), Fr. Roland Mactal, OP, chairman of the Commission on Liturgy and Prayer, took responsibility in the creation of the “Dominican Missal and Lectionary,” which will be launched as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of DPP.

La Naval's pipe organ to be restored
The Shrine of Nuestra Señora del Santisimo Rosario, La Naval de Manila, has the 76-year-old pipe organ, which is a musical masterpiece with much historical value. The musical instrument is set to undergo restoration. To raise funds for the expensive restoration, the officials of the shrine launched the adopt-a-pipe project.

Dominic: Light of the Church
This first full-length feature on the life of St. Dominic de Guzman is the gift of the Dominican Province of the Philippines (DPP) to the whole Dominican Family for its forthcoming 800th year foundation anniversary in 2016. It is also produced by the Provincial Media Board in commemoration of the fourth decade of the DPP.
